Individual Therapy for High-Performers in Newton, Kansas
Individual therapy for high-performing leaders ready to understand their unhealthy patterns, develop practical skills, and grow resilience when life shifts.
Something’s shifted…
And you can’t manage it the way you used to.
Maybe anxiety has become harder to quiet. You can’t stop overthinking. You keep saying yes when you want to say no. You know you need a boundary, but guilt keeps getting in the way. You’re exhausted but can’t sleep. Your inner critic never seems satisfied.
Or you keep finding yourself in the same situations and wondering why.
You may be dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, grief, trauma, OCD, emotional eating, sleep disruption, or difficulty focusing and prioritizing.
Whatever brought you here, you know something isn’t working.
And you’re ready to understand why.
The life you want to live is possible.
Steadier Moods
Anxiety loosens. You sleep better and think more clearly.
Grounded Choices
You decide from strength, not fear. Guilt and shame fade.
Real Control
Your nervous system learns to settle. You feel less trapped by your thoughts.
Genuine Agency
You move forward as yourself, making choices that actually fit your life.
Let’s get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck.
I’m Marilyn Rosa, a licensed therapist with a background in manufacturing and HR.
I understand the pressure of leading at work, caring for the people who depend on you, and trying to manage a private struggle at the same time.
My approach to therapy is structured, practical, and focused on helping you make progress.
We won’t just talk about what happened this week. We’ll look beneath the problem to understand why unhealthy patterns keep showing up, then build practical skills that help you respond with resilience.
You’ll be met with honesty, zero judgment, and empathy. And when I see something that may be keeping you stuck, I’ll help you see it too.

Here’s what to expect in therapy:
Notice Patterns
Learn to recognize what you’re feeling and connect your emotions to the thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors underneath them.
Develop Skills
Using concepts from CBT, DBT, and ACT, we’ll develop practical ways to respond differently to the patterns and triggers that keep showing up.
If you like homework, you’ll have structured exercises and tools to experiment with between sessions.
Grow Resilience
Insight matters. But change happens when you begin using what you’ve learned in your actual life.
You’ll practice new responses, notice what works, and keep building from there.
Therapy is for you if:
You take on too much and struggle to say no.
You carry responsibility that isn't always yours to carry.
You feel numb, shut down, or constantly on edge.
Your nervous system feels stuck in one gear, and you want relief.
You struggle with boundaries or people-pleasing.
You say yes when you mean no, or hide what you really feel.
You want practical tools, not just talk.
You're tired of feeling stuck and ready to learn something that actually works.
You're open to honest feedback.
You trust that growth sometimes means discomfort, and you're willing.
