Hi, I’m Marilyn

Licensed clinical therapist for adults and couples in Kansas who want to move through anxiety, burnout and relational strain with both emotional honesty and practical tools. A grounded space where insight and skill-building happen together.

Story

From organizational work to clinical practice

I spent years in HR and organizational strategy, helping leaders and teams navigate change. That work taught me how much people struggle in silence, how structure matters, and how the right conditions allow real growth.

The shift

I pursued clinical training to work directly with people in their pain.

The greenhouse

A space where growth happens when conditions are right and care is consistent.

Approach

Insight and tools working together

I believe real change comes from understanding yourself more deeply and having concrete tools you can use every day. Therapy here is honest, sometimes challenging, and always grounded in what actually works.

Scope

What therapy is and what it isn't

I provide clinical therapy for adults and couples in Kansas only, both in-person and via telehealth. I'm licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, and I'm clear about the line between therapy and coaching.

  • Licensed in Kansas for in-person and telehealth

  • Therapy is clinical work, distinct from coaching

  • Honest referrals when needs fall outside scope

Training

Licensed, trained, and grounded in evidence

I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Kansas. I'm also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of the American Counseling Association.

  • Specialized training in CBT and DBT

  • Advanced certification in ACT and EFT

  • Ongoing professional development and supervision

Experience

What happens in session

You'll be listened to without judgment, challenged gently when it matters, and always respected. Sessions move at your pace, balancing reflection with practical steps you can take between visits.

Beyond therapy

I work with leaders and teams too

I also offer coaching and leadership programs for organizations and teams through Marilyn Rosa Consulting, a separate practice. For coaching or workplace programs, visit Marilyn Rosa Consulting.
